Earth Allied-Forces affiliation, a first lieutenant. He is a military man (a fighter pilot) of the South America United States also as a basis, and became Allied-Forces personal after the military power annexation by the Atlantic Ocean Federation.
As he was the only one to leave from the USSA to the Atlantic Federation as adaptable Fighter pilot that came to known as “ED the Ripper” for this Clod & Ruthless fighting and the blood that is oil that spill on this Machine he in after killing the enemy each time he went out to battle.
He doesn’t like being call by this nickname because it doesn’t really suit to him and he a kind loving gentle person, when he not in battle as he separate it the two. As he gain popularly among this comrades and the higher up for this skill and kind of person he is.
He joke about the perfect women he in to that is Jane Houston an Earth Alliance underwater ace that happen to be this lover. Like they should have this or that big size eg.
He loves to eat junk food like hamburgers, chips like that as he spends this time. Especially to MS hand-to-hand combat, it has a pre-eminent talent and it is said that the return blood (correctly oil) of an enemy's MS surely attached the body of him who sorties at once.

After that, he pilots the mobile suit that makes him a legend that rival the legendary Archangel Protector and conqueror GAT-X105 Strike Gundam, a GAT-X133 Sword Calamity close-combat mobile suit that is based off of the GAT-X131 Calamity Gundam.
In September 71 when he sliced an EWAC DINN in half using his F-7D spearhead fighter's wing, the first to do so along with slicing a Nazca-Class Battle ship bridge with this two "Schwert Gewehr" anti-ship swords from this Sword Calamity.
On another mission he flew this Raider Full spec to do an aerial assault on Carpentaria Base to led the attack for Rena and the others to arrives unharmed…
In many battle as the Earth Alliance unleashes it many operations Edward used many different machine for many different reason as on the attack on the Africa frontline he flew in this GAT-333-1 Raider Full Spec join by Rena Imelia an EA flight instructor in her GAT/A-01E2 Buster Dagger to fight off ZAFT ground type Mobile suit TMF/A-802 Bucue and TMF/A-803 LaGowe, as Edward deal with them on the ground and fight with the airborne AMF-101 Dinn later he switch to this Main Mobile suit the GAT-X133-2 Sword Calamity unit 2 to finishes off the remaining units in the morning at Victoria Base. In Victoria he was assigned to the Earth Special Forces under the Orb Noble Elite General Rondo Gina Sahaku to assault the ZAFT forces as Rondo turn off the self-destruct device as Edward Harrelson just grab a bite to eat during the last few seconds within the compound as the EA Main Forces arrives the next days to clear things up that was caused by Edward Harrelson Merciless killing of the whole ZAFT Squad with the rest finish off by Rondo and this Combat Coordinator team given to him by the Blue Cosmos Murata Azreal. He head to space he encounter the Serpent Tail team and Gai Murakumo in possession of the Blue Frame Second L. as they fight Gai along with Edward drew as the two went there own way after the fight.
During the Jachin Due he encounter the Three Ship Alliance and the kusanagi protector Barry Hoo as they fight then Cagalli Yula Athha in her MBF-P02 Strike Rouge equipped with the Powerful IWSP used one take on Edward as he see it been legendary to the Original as he can as a rematch with Strike from the Fight at Orb Ground with Mwu La Fllaga and the GAT-X105 Strike IWSP only use once. As the fight goes deep as their sword clashes…Edward Realize something he should be like them and fight for freedom for the USSA so he did that as he fight off Michael Coast and this team after the Genesis fires Edward Harrelson went on an rampage against both the EA and ZAFT for the Freedom of the USSA. After the war he went to the Treaty of Junis where he stand guard a lot with the Serpent tail and the Clyne Faction was there to deal with the fighting between the two sides.
Later on the year of 72 he fought the EA for freedom as the EA brand him a traitor and wanted for treason so the EA sent out countless of Machine all of them were destroyed by him and this Sword Calamity unit 2 later the EA sent out there best fighters Aces Rena Imelia, Morgan Chevalier and Jane Hosuton all of them were defeated or fail to beat him only Rena managed to beat him using a cheap way like when Edward come to see if she alright inside her Sword Calamity cockpit she fire of a round from her gun to shot Edward he was down for the count! Jess Rabble a press photographer came to his aid to save both of them to take them to an ZAFT outpost after that moment the USSA regained there Freedom from the Atlantic Federation as the second treaty is signed by Gilbert Dullandal and the EA.
